WHAT IS CERAMIC COATING?

On the lift, we look for sticky cedar and fir sap at panel edges, then the dull film left by cottonwood fluff in June and pollen in April–May. On a Bugatti parked under North Shore or Kitsilano trees, that residue holds dirt against the paint until washing can mark it. Bugatti ceramic coating is a liquid layer we apply over fully cleaned, corrected paint. It cures into a thin, hard sacrificial layer that resists light marring and gives sap, pollen, and road film less grip. It will not stop a stone chip or remove wash work. We machine-polish swirl marks, spider-webbing, and oxidation in house before coating; covering them first only locks poor paint under the new layer. For this work, we use CQuartz Professional, Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra, or Revivify, chosen after we inspect the paint and how the car is stored. The useful decision is whether the paint is ready for correction before coating.

WHY TO CHOOSE PREMIUM COATING?

A coating makes sense when routine washing must remove tree residue without harsh rubbing. With no local dealer, Bugatti ceramic work means we travel to the car. Near Cypress Mountain, damp parking and pollen can leave grit on paint between drives. The coating helps water and grime release more readily, which cuts the pressure needed at wash time. It does not replace careful wash methods, and it does not repair chips that already hold water. Our published 5-year coating price is $1,200–$2,500 installed. That equals $300–$550 a year, compared with $600–$1,200 a year for repeat 1-year products. We inspect the paint first and correct it in house if swirls or oxidation would spoil the result.

CERAMIC COATINGS BENEFITS

Good results depend on separating ease of cleaning from chip defence. Bugatti paint protection needs two answers: ceramic for sap, pollen, water marks, and light wash marring; film for the areas that take grit. What does Ceramic Bugatti mean in practice? It means we inspect each panel, wash out contamination, and machine-polish defects before we coat. Bugatti detailing at Gleamworks can also pair the coating with XPEL, STEK DYNOshield, or SunTek film where a low front end and rocker areas need chip defence. A coating cannot stop an impact, and film will not cancel the need to wash off sap. Our published 7-year coating option is $1,800–$3,000+ installed. If paint later needs reconditioning, a panel repaint at a body shop here typically costs $600–$1,500. That is the cost to weigh against keeping the original finish clean and corrected.
