WHAT IS CERAMIC COATING?
The decision is rarely just ceramic coating or nothing. You may be weighing a dealer add-on, a low-price job, or a studio that prepares the paint first. Buick detailing at Gleamworks begins with an inspection, then in-house machine polishing where your paint needs it. We remove swirl marks, spider-webbing, and oxidation before we coat, rather than cover them. A coating adds a thin, hard sacrificial layer that resists light marring; it does not stop stone chips or end washing. That prep matters in tower parkades, where ceiling drips and construction dust mark paint left wet. Parkade drips can dry into spots, and dust can add fine marks during a rushed wipe-down. After nine years and more than 2,000 protected cars, we know the useful questions: what prep is included, which coating goes on, and who maintains it? Ask those before you compare quotes.
